She was predeceased by: her parents, Lavern Rogers and Alice Rogers (Kirtley); her former husband Robert Tate; her husband Raymond Oviatt; her brother Donald Rogers; her daughter Lora Beggerow; her grandson Benjamin Beggerow; her stepchildren, Larry Oviatt and Vicki Oviatt; her grandsons, Robbie Tate and Vaughn Voyt; and her stepgrandson Michael Shaw.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Mareda, John Tate, Eva Kennell, David Tate and Robert Tate; her stepchildren, Florine Shaw, Richard Oviatt, James Oviatt, Greg Oviatt and Debbie Hardy; and her grandchildren, John Tate Jr., Mary Hereford, Michael Tate, Scott Beggerow, Natasha Meyer, Damen Tate, Jason Tate, Jared Tate and Allison Anderson. She is also survived by great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and many step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in Norma's name at the River Bible Camp in Dixon Illinois.
