She was predeceased by: her husband Herschel D. Hartsell; and her great grandchild Hallie Yount. She is survived by: her children, Lois Penniman (Edward), Barbara Ottun (Virgil) and David Hartsell (JoAnn); and her sister Mary Ann Siebrecht. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
