He was predeceased by: his parent James; and his sister Jean Nickison. He is survived by: his wife Ann Durkin; his children, Mike Durkin, Deanne Slafter (Jerry) and Sean Durkin; his grandchildren, Justin (Alex), Amanda, Jordan Slafter, Rowen and Eli Durkin; his great grandchild Alannah Slafter; and his siblings, Mary Bell of Peggy Durkin and James Durkin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
