He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Lee "Ginny" Snyder; his grandson Daniel Shane Ortega; his son-in-law John C. Vincent; and his parents, John Snyder and Nellie Snyder.

He is survived by: his children, Tina Johnson (Mark), Michael Snyder, Jr. (Veronika), Teresa Vincent (Kurt Williamson) and Brian Snyder (Julie); his grandchildren, Cody, April, Brandon, Taylor, Elena, Lily, Marley and Lincoln; his great grandchildren, Aleigha, Jordan, Pennie, Jameson, Cayden and Carter; and his siblings, Helen Von Voigt, Janet Cox, Paul Snyder, Tony Snyder, Sr., Eileen Hall and Kathleen Snyder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
