He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gold and Vergie Gold; and his siblings, Bud Brooner, Erma Lewellen, Verna Lecher, Eloise Downey and Barbara Hollrah.

He is survived by: his wife Susan of Chadron; his daughter Carla Leuck (Rob); his grandchildren, Beau and Ivy Leuck; his sisters, Betty Staal and Linda Strauss (Charles); and his siblings-in-law, Janice Magruder, Virginia Sides, Steven Lecher (Diane), Curtis Lecher (Mary) and Roger Hollrah. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Military Honors: U. S. Army National Guard Honor Guard & American Legion Post 374, Memorials suggested to St. Mary's Church, Knights of Columbus Council 6192, or St. Mary's St. Vincent DePaul Society.
