He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Holst and Anne Holst; and his brother Irvin Holst. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Holst (Kubin); his children, John J. Holst, Dianna Hoins (Steven), Robert Holst (Linda) and Theresa Kraniewski (Doug Spongberg); and his grandchildren, Chad Hoins, Michelle McDonald, Grace Holst, Grant Holst, Stacey Rasmussen and Laura O'Leary. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews.
