He is survived by: his wife Amy; his daughters, Emily Cain, Jenna Cain, Madelyn Cain and Grace Cain; his parents, John Cain and Lyn Cain; his sister Aimee Kriz (Tony); his nephews, Malachi, Hudson and Tristan; his in-laws, Lee and Cassy Mayhan; and his sister-in-law Jennifer Lillion (Bill Targy).

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Bellevue Memorial (2202 Hancock St, Bellevue, NE 68005). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
