She was predeceased by: her husband Wade Carter; and her daughter Dawn Birkey. She is survived by: her daughter Lynne Carter; her granddaughters, Dottie Holomek and Leah Dougherty (Tom); and her great grandchildren, Micah Holomek, Joel Holomek, Alyssa Holomek, Abigail Holomek, Carter Dougherty, Mercer Dougherty and Scarlett Dougherty.

Memorials are suggested to Bellevue Community Church.
