He is survived by: his former wife Twila Mae Hurd; his wife Carol Hoekstra of Bellevue, Nebraska; his sons, Shawn Hoekstra of San Jose, Christopher Hoekstra of Bellevue, Jeffrey Hoekstra of Citrus Heights and Jonathan Hoekstra of North Hollywood; his children-in-law, Brooke Thornhill Hoekstra, Damaris Escobar Hoekstra, Melissa Thompson Hoekstra and Kristina Vardazaryan Hoekstra; his grandchildren, Dereck, Jacob Hoekstra of San Jose, California, Kylie, Adalyn, Nolan Hoekstra of Bellevue, Nebraska, Zachary, Katelyn, Tyler Hoekstra of Citrus Heights and Amelia Hoekstra of North Hollywood, California.; and his sister Esther Wiens (Larry Wiens) of Danville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles.
