He is survived by: his wife Jeanie; his children, Monte Whitaker (Megan) and Brenda Coe (David); his grandchildren, Cassie, Tyler, Cole of Kyle, TJ, Raegan, McKinley and Laikyn; his great grandchild Brynleigh; his siblings, Lucy Thierer, Barb Prickett (Rex), Jeannie Hartmann (George) and Jeff Whitaker (Rachel); and his sister-in-law Vickie Whitaker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
