He was predeceased by: his father Gilbert C. Swanson; and his stepfather Bruce Steinfeldt. He is survived by: his wife Tara Swanson; his children, Olivia Bosco and Jacob Swanson; his mother Mary H. Steinfeldt; his siblings, Cathy Swanson McCarthy-Haney (Bob) and Carl Swanson; and his nieces and nephews, Ali, Caitlin McCarthy, Austin, Matthew Swanson and Nick Bosco.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Swanson Children Education Fund.
