He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles Edward Denton, Jr. and Virginia Denton (Mund); his godmother Nancy Norton (Denton); his grandparents, Willis Vogler and Dorothy Vogler (Merritt); his uncle Robert Vogler; and his great-grandparent Wilhelmina Merritt (Voss).

He is survived by: his parents, Charles A. Denton and Wilma Denton (Vogler); his children, Noah Michael Denton and Riley Renee Patton; his fiancée RaMonda Yvonne Harris; his brothers, Robert, William and Matthew Denton; his aunt Mary Spurlock (Vogler); his godfather John Norton; and his aunt Jody Vogler (Blecha).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Charles Edward Denton Children's Education Fund.
