She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Sutton and Ethel Lewis (Howard); her husband Dean; her siblings, Harlan Lewis (Millie), Donald Lewis (Pauline), Paul Lewis (Margaret), Tom Lewis (Janet), Guy Lewis (Margie), Martha Lewis and Rose Marie Rears (Don); and her siblings-in-law, LaVerne "Perk" Kreglo, Jerry Mehlin, Don and Ted Whitfield.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Whitfield (Cyndi) of Bellevue and Doug Whitfield (Dana) of Bellevue; her grandchildren, Kyle Whitfield (Ashley) of Omaha, Tracy Whitfield of Bellevue, Dean Whitfield (Morgan) of Omaha and Danny Whitfield (Brooklyn Krause) of Hampton, NE; her great grandchildren, Hollis and Alton Whitfield of Omaha; her sister Bonnie Mehlin of Fremont, NE; and her siblings-in-law, Larry "Butch" Whitfield (Rita) of Bellevue, Alan Kreglo of Kansas City, MO and Verna Whitfield of Omaha. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Wherry Mortuary (207 Nemaha St, Humboldt, NE 68376).
