Schlake and Sophia Schlake (Ewers); his wife Eleanor Folkerts (Folkerts); his son Merlin Schlake; his daughter-in-law Sara Schlake; his grandson Brian Schlake; his great grandchild Alexandra Jurgena; his siblings, Harold Schlake, Vernon Schlake, Miley Schlake, LeRoy Schlake and Leona Dorn (John); his parents-in-law, George and Sadie Folkerts; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Schnuelle, Gerald Folkerts and Dennis Buel.
He is survived by: his children, Delferd of Blue Springs, Denise Schlake-Ideus (Gerald) of Filley, Donita Weyer (Randy) of Blue Springs and Doreen Janzen (LeRoy) of Beatrice; his grandchildren, Rebecca Criswell (Tim) of Kansas City, MO, David Schlake (Ashley) of Adams, Brent Schlake (Debi) of Blue Springs, Christina Jurgena (Tyrone, Jr.) of Fairbury, Tricia Lohmeier (Sam) of Beatrice, Alicia Amazan (Johnny) of Indianapolis, IN and Heather Ebert (Jeff) of Eau Claire, WI; his stepgrandchildren, Jerod Ideus (Cally) of Filley, Jaci Ideus-Machado (Rita) of Turlock, CA and Cassie Boyer (Kurt) of Elkhorn, NE; his brother Leland Schlake (Alice) of Pickrell; his sisters-in-law, Arlene Schlake of Kansas City, MO, Norma Foreman of Lincoln, Delores Schlake of Lincoln, Marilyn Folkerts of Adams, Melinda Buel of Hickman, Marian Heffley of Bermuda Dunes, CA, Evelyn Kisling of Lincoln and Irene Busboom (Thees) of Beatrice; and his close friend Idana Perkins of Barnes, KS. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
