He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dake and Viola Dake (Hardy); his siblings, Nolan Dake, Diane and Marilyn Dake; and his great grandchild Adalie Grace Potts.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Dake of Beatrice; his children, Alan (Francine) of Gardner, KS, Phillip Dake (Kristina Scott) and Margaret Potts (John) of Azle, TX; his grandchildren, Michelle Kenney (Andrew), Ryan Potts (Chelsea), Mary Driggers (Geoffrey), Theron Dake (Katelyn), Quinlan Dake (Hailey Lybarger), Elijah Dake and Evan Dake; his great grandchildren, Keaton, Riley and Nolan Potts; his siblings, Marcia Uehling (Doug) and Blaine Dake (Lana); and his siblings-in-law, Imogene Johnson (Harold), Aileen Blank (Roger) and Kent Norman (Kathy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family for future designation.
