He is survived by: his wife Theda Frerichs; his children, Rhonda Higgins of Lincoln, Tim Higgins of Crete and Jeremy Higgins of Omaha; his stepsons, Chad Frerichs of Beatrice and Todd Frerichs (Tanya) of Beatrice; his granddaughter Caralin Higgins; his stepgrandchildren, Jordan Frerichs, Cody Frerichs, Kelsie Andersen, Amber Klose and Christine Huls; his siblings, Karen Zimmerman of Napa, Gerald Higgins (Kris) of Beatrice, Janice Stromitis of Beatrice, Kellie Thomas (George) of Beatrice and Patty Earl (Kevan) of Amelia, Ohio; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Higgins of Iowa and Fred Rodewald of Beatrice. He is also survived by 5 step-great grandchildren.
