It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert M. Oates of Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on November 16, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Oates and Rosemary Oates (Lang); his son Christen; his niece Jamie Lynn; his sister Diane (Oates); his siblings-in-law, Harley Kollekowski, Roberta, James Smith and Georgia Spier; and his niece Tina Roser.
He is survived by: his daughter Marnie of Beatrice; his wife Jennie Oates (Sales); his brother Ron Oates (Deb) of Crab Orchard; his grandson Dylan (Alena) of Pullman, WA; his daughter Lisa Shelko (Oates) of Muscatine, IA; and his granddaughter Brittany Foster (Chris) of Vidalia, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many Ironworker brothers.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been designated to AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention).
