He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Conz and Helen Conz (Emery); and his sister Linda Force. He is survived by: his wife Jane; his sons, Joshua Conz of Beatrice and Zach Conz of Beatrice; and his siblings, Donnie Conz (Linda) of Missouri, Steve Conz (Kathy) of Missouri, Joe Downing of Missouri, Tommy Downing (Lora) of Missouri and Sandy Barmann (Tim) of Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
