He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Carel and Opal Carel (Harmes); and his brother Randy Carel. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Carel (Bobbie) of Beatrice, Jane Carel of Beatrice, Tim Carel (Billie) of Beatrice and Mary Oblinger (Mike) of Beatrice. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
