He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Wenzbauer and Mary Wenzbauer (Craig); his brother Richard; his brother-in-law Everett Rowland; and his nephew Nolan Rowland.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Puhalla; his children, Janet Meints (Paul) of Beatrice and Jim Wenzbauer (Joyce) of Odell; his grandchildren, Jesse Meints-Harms (Caleb), Alisyn Wenzbauer (Ken Yates), Alex Wenzbauer and Josh Meints (Arielle) of Germany; his great grandchild Clementine; and his sisters, Barb Rowland (Bob) of Sabetha, Kay Edelman (Duey) of Sabetha, Patti Rowland of Saint James and Sandra Boring (Les) of Humboldt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
