He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oltmans and Mable Oltmans (Stevens); his wife Eunice Evers; his daughter-in-law Neelee Oltmans; his grandchildren, Kellen and Kyle Wermersen; and his siblings, Lenora Bartels (Marvin), Frieda Oltmans, Alice Knox (Ivan), Emily Mackey (Pete), Delmar Oltmans (Carol), Harlen Oltmans (Elda), Clarence Oltmans (Elaine) and Ernest Oltmans.

He is survived by: his children, Bonita Tegtmeier (Dennis) of Riley, Keith Oltmans (Sherri) of Beatrice and Deanna Wermersen (Kim) of Okoboji, Iowa; his grandchildren, Makayla Larson (Luke), Miranda Tegtmeier, Jessalyn Graham (Matthew), Chuck Stierwalt (Katie), Hannah Oltmans, Kristin Stimpson (Andrew), Marc Wermersen (Lauren) and Kiley Zankowski (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Ellie Larson, Elise, Charlotte, Theodore Graham, Ayda Stierwalt, Eli, Charlie, Calvin Stimpson, Ford, Campbell Wermersen, Louis, Eleanor and Thomas Zankowski; his siblings, Melvin Oltmans (Connie) of Beatrice, Arnold Oltmans (Marcia) of Cary and Janice Oltmans of Lincoln; and his siblings-in-law, Arnold Dorn of Hickman and Henrietta Oltmans of Wymore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
