With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leonard Clem Gowen of Beatrice, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Gowen and Hazel Gowen (Bumgardner); and his siblings, Betty Boswell, Gaylord Gowen and Gordon Gowen.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Gowen; and his children, Mona Geiser (Wayne) of Merna, Barb Parsons (Kim) of Holdrege, Tom Gowen (April Cathey) of Sand Springs, Audrey Gowen of St. Paul, Chris Gowen of Beatrice and Carrie Woodyard (Gail) of Marysville, Kansas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Harman - Wright Mortuary (623 Elk St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ong Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of the mortuary.
