He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Otto (McClure); his parents, Albert Otto and Hilka Otto (Aden); and his siblings, Virgal Otto (Edna), Lenhart Otto (Andrea), Micheal Otto and Alberta Otto.

He is survived by: his son-in-law Doug; his son Gregory Otto (Elizabeth Gabbay); his grandson Felix of Los Angeles; his daughter Leigh Ann Bellinger (Doug); his grandson Logan Bellinger of Lincoln; and his siblings, Delmer Otto of Nashville and Margie Otto of Fremont. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the National Kidney Foundation.
