He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hartig and Erna Hartig (Munstermann); and his brother Virgil Hartig. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Saltzman; his children, Rachel Goracke (Tim) of Beatrice and Michael Hartig (Joanna) of Kapa'a, Hawaii; his grandchildren, Morgan, Madison Goracke, Chloe and Joshua Hartig; and his brother Dennis Hartig (Connie) of Beatrice. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Church of Christ at 10th & Grant in Beatrice.
