He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Umphenour and Mary Umphenour (Frouge); and his parents-in-law, Angie and Leander Gronenthal. He is survived by: his wife LeAnn Umphenour; his daughter Jessica; his grandchildren, Tianna Hausman (Jay Mays), Tavia Hausman (Brayden Behrends), Taja Sears and Adara Sears; and his siblings, Michele Warford (Rod) of Wymore and Mark Umphenour (Libby) of Beatrice. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the See Me Rise program at the Nebraska State Department of Corrections with the funeral home in charge.
