She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Ames and Evelyn Ames (Wilhelm); her husband Dennis Prebyl; her siblings, Connie Janssen and Larry Ames; her siblings-in-law, John Prebyl and DeAnn Ames; her parents-in-law, Edward and Marjorie Prebyl (Cook); and her nieces and nephews, Joe and Renda Husa.

She is survived by: her daughter Tammy Waltke (Mike) of Clatonia; her grandson Brenden Waltke; her brother David Ames of Norfolk; her siblings-in-law, Rosemary Rippe of Beatrice, Bev Prebyl of DeWitt and Robert Janssen of Beatrice; and her close friend Brenda. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
