She was predeceased by: her parents, Erwin Blome and Viola Blome (Hueske); her granddaughter Lauren Niemeier; her stepmother Mildred Blome (Overbeck); her stepsister Kathryn Muehling; her parents-in-law, Henry and Lydia Niemeier (Hansjurgen); and her siblings-in-law, Arlene Bergmeier (Robert), Merna Pohlmann (Lorenz), Elvera Stokebrand (Robert) and Maurice Bergmeier.
She is survived by: her husband LaVern H. Niemeier; her sons, Todd Niemeier (Kathryn) and Brent Niemeier (Jane); her grandchildren, Carrie VanLaningham (Derek), Kelli Niemeier and Chad Niemeier; her great grandchild Crew VanLaningham; her sisters, Arlene Meyer (Dale) and Judy Pohlmann (Gerald); her stepbrother Terry Overbeck (Vera); and her sister-in-law Delma Bergmeier. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Right to Life, Rocky Mountain MS Society, and Orphan Grain Train.
