James E. Ostrander Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Ostrander of Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward M. Ostrander and Martha E. Kreuzburg Ostrander; his former wife Violet Wilson; his wife Deloris Ward; his brothers, Walter Ostrander of Missouri, Daniel Ostrander of Missouri and William Ostrander of Nebraska; his niece Lisa Lehman; his nephew Kenneth Ostrander; his siblings-in-law, Robert Lehman, Robert Mason, Bea Ostrander and Dorothy Ostrander; his great-nephew Timothy Ostrander; and his stepdaughter Jane Patrick.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Ostrander (Connie) of Wataga, IL and Jaylene Keith (Ron) of Galesburg, IL; his stepchildren, Robert, Tom, Kevin, Barbara and Regina; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jonathan and Tiffiany; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Gabrielle, Nicholas and Conner; his sisters, Delores Mason of Knoxville, IL and Sherry Bittfield of Lincoln, NE; and his brother-in-law Junior Wilson of Knoxville, IL. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, their families, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1116 N 19th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hiawatha Cemetery (800 1st St, Hiawatha, KS 66434).
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
