Ivan R. Simpson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivan R. Simpson of Beatrice, Nebraska, born in Oberlin, Kansas, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rea Simpson and Lena Simpson (Brown); his son Michael Simpson; his siblings, Melvin Simpson, Dale Simpson (Velda), Lowell Simpson (Melba) and Neta Becker (Fred); and his brother-in-law Richard Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Simmons; his children, Teresa Hansmire (Greg) of Fairbury and Randy Simpson (Daniela) of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Michael Hansmire (Bethany), Megan Johnson (Rob), Dylan Simpson, Isabel Simpson and Audrey Simpson; his great grandchildren, Molly, Morgan, Macy Hansmire, Maya and Marshall Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Dee Simpson of Lincoln, Barbara Simmons of Carmel, California and Clayton Simmons (Clarice) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Centenary United Methodist Church or the Ivan Simpson Memorial to be used towards dementia research in care of the mortuary.
