He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold W. Thaut, Sr. and Evelyn Thaut (O'Donnell); and his sisters, Shirley Barton and Donna Thaut. He is survived by: his wife Bette Anne; his daughters, Sarah Snell (Scott) of Hastings, NE and Jessie Wells (Brett) of Collierville, TN; his grandchildren, Jonah, Norah, Gabriel Snell, Owen and Abby Wells; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Kuhn of Omaha and Evart Barton (Jane) of Hastings, NE. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
A memorial has been established to the Beatrice Humane Society with the funeral home in charge.
