He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zulauf and Viola Zulauf (Schroeder); his brother Robert Zulauf; his granddaughter-in-law Sarah Jurgens; his parents-in-law, Alfred and Nora Lucking; and his brother-in-law Harold Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Zulauf of Beatrice; his children, Michelle Jurgens (Kenny) of Pickrell, Jon Zulauf (Sheri Matzner) of Plymouth and Gina Weise (Shawn) of DeWitt; his grandchildren, Kole Jurgens (Jenilee Wright) of Beatrice, Kody Jurgens of Pickrell, Jordyn Zulauf of Plymouth, Talon Matzner of Lincoln, Taylor Summers (Kaylee) of Gunnison, CO, Aimee Semin (Todd) of Omaha and Darick Jurgens of Olatha, KS; his great grandchildren, Seth Semin, Drew and Cooper Jurgens; his sister Virgene Schmidt; and his siblings-in-law, Engelina Zulauf and Robert Lucking. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to Peace Lutheran Church.
