He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin "Jeff" Knabe and Frances "Elaine" White Knabe. He is survived by: his sister Kay Shively of York; his nephew Sylvaughn Shively (Trinity) of Beatrice; his niece Stormy Smith (Tyler) of Washington, MO; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Beckem Eggert, Sorayah Shively, Ezra Holder and Isla Smith.

A memorial has been established to the Mosaic in Beatrice with Fox Funeral Home in charge.
