It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eileen J. Helmke of Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on April 10, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus Kracke and Ella Kracke (Schuerman); her husband Delmer J. Helmke; her son-in-law Larry Buhr; her grandson Dan Ackland; her sister Vernita; her brother-in-law Rev. Milton Weishahn; her nephew Bradley Weishahn; her niece Joyce Lambert; and her parents-in-law, Dick and Lillie Helmke.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Ackland (Robert), Stanley Helmke (Lynne), Myron Helmke (Donna) and Roselyn Guenther (Ted); her grandchildren, Steve Ackland (Jeanne), Gene Ackland (Beth), Tony Buhr, Chad Helmke, Valerie Helmke, Scott Helmke, Jason Helmke (Laura), Matt Helmke (Jill), Clinton Guenther and Dustin Guenther (Amy); and her niece Janice Spilker-Pieper. She is also survived by great-great grandchildren; relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice with Lee Spilker and Cindy Holsing in charge.
