She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving Baker and Lottie Pearl Baker (Murgatroyd); her husband Delmer Messick; and her sisters, Wilma Keyes (Duane) and Iona Robinson (Gene).
She is survived by: her children, Sally Vater (Richard) of Beatrice and Donald Messick (Mariza) of Missouri City, TX; her grandchildren, Shawn Vater (Jami) of Beatrice, Jesse Vater (Sarah) of Beatrice, Eric Messick of Salinas, CA, Amber Wood (Chris) of Leander, TX, Adam Messick (Erika) of Hutto, TX and Cindy Larkin (Brian) of Tomball, TX; and her brother-in-law Jack Messick of Granite City, IL. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
