He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Straub and Donna Thompson Straub; and his siblings, Allen Straub and Glenda Vogler (Straub). He is survived by: his wife Nevla Straub of Beatrice; his daughters, Laurie Stillwell (Jason) of Beatrice, Christy Harrington (Kevin) of Beatrice and Sonya Stevison (Jim) of Beatrice; and his sister Sharilyn Anderson (Virgil). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Shriners Children's Hospital.
