It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty L. Spilker of Beatrice, Nebraska, born in Great Bend, Kansas, who passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hazel and Velma Hazel (Gromly); her husband Harvey Spilker; her siblings, Harold E. Hazel (Gloria) and Jean Gibson (Bill); and her siblings-in-law, Frieda Heist (John) and Vernon Spilker (Esther).
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Spilker (Charlene) of Beatrice and Ricki Rawlings of Omaha; and her grandchildren, Heather Gochanour, Craig Spilker, Colin Spilker, Chase Spilker and Courtney Spilker. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; eleven nieces, nephews and many extended family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Red Cross.
