She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Petersen and Sarah Petersen (Fetty); her husband Archie Novotny; and her siblings, Mildred McCandless, Dale and Raymond Petersen.
She is survived by: her sisters, Store, Wilkie Bakery and Goodenoughs; her daughter Shirley Ramsey (Don) of Wymore; her grandchildren, Laurel Lunsford (Brian) of Elkhorn and Mitch Ramsey (Heather) of Bruning; her great grandchildren, Gage and Brynn Ramsey; her sister Dorothy Hofeling (Willie) of Beatrice; and her close friends, Dean, Aladean Shuck, Gene and Arlene Vondenkamp. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Beatrice Salvation Army with the funeral home in charge.
