She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Nikkel and Helen Nikkel (Schmidt); her mother-in-law Elaine Goertzen; her brother Leon Nikkel; her siblings-in-law, Ed Templin, Harold Klaassen and Marilyn Nikkel; and her niece Natasha McQuary.
She is survived by: her husband Dick; her daughters, Candace Meyer (Jarred) of Firth, Holly Rocole (Tracy) of Hickman and Robbyn Hohensee (Kent) of Beatrice; her grandchildren, Isaiah Meyer, Kirsten, Kayla Rocole, Kollyns, Rikki and Ryan Hohensee; her father-in-law Irvin Goertzen; her siblings, Ted Nikkel (Joan), Kermit Nikkel (Sandra), Joanne Klaassen, Adella Harmon (Jim), Heleen Funk (Loren), Nadine Epp (Virgil) and Rose Mary Templin; and her sister-in-law Karen Nikkel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation and the Beatrice Community Hospital Hospice Program with Jim and Vicki Ensz in charge.
