He is survived by: his wife Lois Boevink of Beatrice; his children, Keith Buhr (Kathy Bishop) of Beatrice, Arlan Buhr (Karen) of Omaha, Jeanette Dorn (Leon) of Firth, Carol Oltman (Eugene) of Cortland and Nancy Buhr of Omaha; his grandchildren, Nathan Dorn (Tonia), Stephanie Kewin (Darryl), Heather Barr (Lee), Tara Higgins (Mike), Preston Oltman (Kaity), Amanda Morgan (Shad), Tyler Buhr, Andrew Baehr (Hanna), Nolan Baehr (Miranda) and Garret Rasmussen; his great grandchildren, John, Edward, Brecken, Kasey Dorn, Brooklyn, Logan, Landon Barr, Zachary, Sadie, Jocelyn, Kyra Higgins, Anna, Autum, Adelynn, Aiden Morgan, Luca, Ari Baehr, Maya, Eden and Remi Baehr; his stepgrandson Ron Siwirski (Danielle); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Roman, Rylee and Landon Siwirski; his siblings, Ervin Buhr, Genevieve Lenners and Erma Schlake (Larry); his siblings-in-law, Karen Buhr and Ray Boevink (Ginger); and his nieces and nephews, Yuhki, Wakana and Haruka.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell with Dorothy Trauernicht and Lorene Wallman in charge.
