He was predeceased by: his parents, John Volk (Amelia) and Amelia Volk of Battle Creek; and his brothers, Willis Grant (Helen Volk), John Volk (Doris), Don Bierman (Betty Volk), Kenneth Volk and Jim Volk (Stella).
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Unkel; his sons, Jay Volk (Kim) and Clark Volk (Leslie); his granddaughters, Claire, Madeline, Kylie and Grace Volk; and his sister-in-law Josephine Volk.
