She was predeceased by: her husband Leon Wacker; her son Jerome (Jerry); her parents, Rupert Arkfeld and Rose Hughes Arkfeld; and her siblings, Inherently, Mary, Rosalie, Rick, Joe, Tom, John, Bill and Marge (Bob).
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Kelly Long of Soldotna, AK; her children, Tom Wacker (Debbie) of Arlington, VA, Linda (Steve), Napier of Milan, MI and Lisa (Mike); and her grandchildren, Alex Walker of Maumee, OH, Cody Wacker of Soldotna, AK, Emma Temkin of Denver, Josh Wacker, Jeremy Wacker of Arlington, VA, Tony Chudomelka of Chicago, Tyus Chudomelka of Bellevue and McCook. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses and all her cousins.
Mary followed in her older sister Agnes's footsteps after high school and attended the College of St. Mary in Leavenworth, KS, also home of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas.
