In loving memory of Mark W. Baumgartel of Battle Creek, Nebraska, who departed this world on November 26, 2024 at the age of 85. Mark leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Baumgartel and Ada Baumgartel (Schultz); and his significant other Helen Yvonne Proehl of Christ's Lutheran Church. He is survived by: his wife Helen Baumgartel (Proehl); his children, Jeffrey (Linda), Jonathan (Jill) and Ann Fleming; his grandchildren, Max, Samuel, Kaleb, Micah, Faith, Ava Baumgartel, Connor and Peyton Fleming; and his siblings, Marvin Baumgartel (Shirley) and Sylvia Liedke (Larry).
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (305 S 2nd St, Battle Creek, NE 68715). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Parish Hall.
