With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raul Saldivar Sr. of Axtell, Nebraska, born in San Benito, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Santos Serna and Augustine Saldivar; and his son David Saldivar. He is survived by: his children, Raul Saldivar, Jr. (Ellen) of Omaha, Rene' Saldivar (Cindi) of Kearney, Rolando Saldivar of Omaha and Mary Saldivar of Phoenix, AZ; and his siblings, Jose Saldivar of San Benito, TX, Robert Saldivar, Sr. of Houston, TX, Jesse Saldivar (Chris) of San Benito, TX, Augustine Saldivar, Jr. of Mercedes, TX, Gilbert Saldivar of Harlingen, TX, Alicia Duran (David) of Dallas, TX and Martha Anzaldua (Gilbert) of Harlingen, TX. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

He had a generous spirit, enjoyed fixing bikes and donating them to children in need.
