He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Staack and Leila Staack (Dodenhof); and his daughter Leslie Staack. He is survived by: his wife Doris Grable; his children, Shawn Staack and Chelsey O'Connor (Talon); his siblings, Fritz Staack, Henry Staack, Pat Scheinost (Terry), Gary Staack (Kim), Ronald Staack (Sherri), Carol Graham (Mike) and Kennie Staack (Dee Dee); and his sister-in-law Deb Casey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Avoca Fire Department or Avoca Town Hall.
