He was predeceased by: his wife Deanie. He is survived by: his former wife Bernadine 'Deanie Matas of Hazelton, PA; his daughter Kathy; his son-in-law Hank McFarland of Grand Island; his sons, Tom (Kim Wanek) and Jim (Annette Wanek); his grandchildren, Tommy McFarland, Kate McFarland of Grand Island, Andrew Wanek, Michael Wanek, Jane Wanek, Ellie Wanek of Aurora, Katherine Wanek of Omaha, Tommy Wanek of Lincoln, Anna Wanek and Jimmy Wanek of Urbandale, IA; and his brothers, George Wanek (Margarita) of Omaha and Mike Wanek (Bonna) of Grand Island. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
