He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis L. 'Bud' and Hazel Carter (Cotton); and his former wife Sandra Jean Carter. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jean Olson of Aurora; his sons, South, John, Mitch Carter (Tanya) of Castle Rock, CO and Lee Carter of Aurora; his stepdaughter Jennifer Eisenhart-Crunk; his stepgrandson John Carter (Maren); and his cousins, Virginia Elliott and Jim Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church Building Fund, Aurora Community Club House Building Fund or the Aurora School Foundation.
