He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley R. Fassnacht and Bertha Fassnacht (Roemer); his wife Iola M. Peterson; his siblings, Louise Hasenkamp (Warren), Byrdene Thompson (Archie), Harley P., Dwight Fassnacht (Margel), Naomi Fassnacht and Wallace; his son-in-law Barry Elder; and his niece Janet Adams.
He is survived by: his daughters, Glenell Ratzlaff (Ralph) of Henderson, Joleen Gustafson (David) of Wakefield and Teresa Elder-Smith (Kirt Smith) of Hampton; and his granddaughters, Katherine Elder and Elizabeth Smith of Lincoln.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Higby-McQuiston Mortuary (1404 L St, Aurora, NE 68818). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the United Lutheran Church (812 1st St, Hampton, NE 68843).
Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date.
