Patrick Metcalf Obituary
Patrick "Pat" Metcalf, 55, of Aurora passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Bryan East in Lincoln. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Casual dress is requested by his family. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Pat's family for future designation.
All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Pat was born on February 9, 1966, during the first Superbowl, in Sterling, Colorado, son of Larry and Hazel (Campbell) Metcalf. He grew up in Fleming and Crook Colorado where he attended school. Pat soon took to the open road and joined a carnival. He settled down and was employed by a dairy, milking and caring for the cows.
After staying in one place for too long, Pat began driving truck. He met and married Gayle and they were blessed with three rowdy sons and a daughter. They made their home in Chappel, NE where they settled on a beautiful farm for the next 30 years. Life took many turns and twists and he recently found himself relocating to Aurora to be near his daughter and son.
Pat started driving truck for NSG and enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. Pat was a member of ABATE motorcycle club and a volunteer EMT and Firefighter. Pat was able to help many families through volunteering as an EMT and Firefighter. Pat loved to collect pens and had a whole office in his truck. He loved caring for the animals on the farm and many pets.
He was strong and caring in his own way and he lived the way he wanted to. He is survived by his children, Zach (Nerina Giolli) Metcalf from Orange County, CA, Darron (Sonya) Metcalf of Huston, TX, Deserae (Krael) Suck of Aurora, and Holden (Tabbie) Metcalf of Hastings; mother of his children, Gayle Metcalf of Grand Island; grandchildren, Alex, Gavin, Nola, Caden, Connor, Kiptyn, Korbyn, Edith, Oden, DeLilah, and Cayson; one brother and two sisters; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Michael and David.
