It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Thomas (Aurora, Nebraska), born in Hordville, Nebraska, who passed away on April 24, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Ludvig Bengtson and Clara Bengtson (Jurgens); her daughter Coleen Elida Hellstrom; and her siblings, Ludvig Merlin Bengtson, Willis Bengtson, Deryl Goedeken, Milburn Fowler (Gene), Iola Fowler and Mildred Bengtson.
She is survived by: her husband Harry James Thomas; her children, Jackie Chapman (Darryl), Kathie Sperow (Dan), Mike Thomas, Timothy Thomas and Christy Dumond (Mike); and her siblings, Jerrold Bengtson, Marjorie Bengtson of York, Garnet Goedeken of Columbus, Larry, Sue Bengtson, Lucile Bengtson of Aurora, Dale and Penny Bengtson of Hordville. She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place at this time, inurnment at the Hordville Cemetery and Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made in care of the family to designate at a later date.
