With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donald LaVerne Davis of Aurora, Nebraska, born in Douglas, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman "Verne" Davis and Francis Davis (Cole); his grandson Scott Hannon; his son-in-law Steve Leach; and his siblings, Dorothy Jobes and Bruce Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Janis Davis of Aurora; his children, John (Lorrie), Davis of Lincoln, Donelle Leach of Lincoln, Judy Hannon (Steve) of York and Laurie Garrison of Soldotna, Alaska; and his siblings-in-law, John Munn (Linda) of Lincoln and Eddie Ranson of Soldotna. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Aurora United Methodist Church (1104 A St, Aurora, NE 68818).
